Bob van der Velde of De Broodbode about Combidesk
De Broodbode was founded by Bob van der Velde, who started making freshly prepared sandwiches in his shed in Enschede twelve years ago. Today, De Broodbode has sixteen locations across Twente and has become a beloved lunch chain for all ages. Bob’s business initially focused on companies, distinguishing itself by offering homemade sandwiches. “There was a demand for high-quality lunch deliveries,” says Bob.

In 2009, we started our lunch business De Broodbode in Enschede. Now, 12 years later, you can find De Broodbode at 12 locations in the east of the Netherlands. An achievement we are proud of.

Michaela, Bob’s wife, works mostly behind the scenes at De Broodbode. She is responsible for HR and bookkeeping. Since the very beginning, De Broodbode has been using Moneybird to create sales invoices for corporate clients who order on account. As the company rapidly expanded and began working with various franchisees, each location started maintaining its own bookkeeping system. The accountants of these franchisees often use their preferred accounting software, such as Exact Online or Twinfield. Still, the entrepreneurs prefer to send their invoices through Moneybird.
